Getting sizes right matters more than usual when you order for a whole family, because every shirt is made to order. Use this guide before you check out, and email us if you are unsure about anyone in your group.

Not every print is offered in every style; the sizes you can select on a product page are the ones available for that design. Exact garment measurements can vary by style and are given in the product description where available. If a measurement you need is not listed, email us before ordering and we will send it.

How to measure

The easiest method is to measure a button-up shirt that already fits the person well. Lay it flat, buttoned, on a table and use a soft tape measure.

  • Chest: measure straight across from one armpit seam to the other, then double the number.
  • Length: measure from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, straight down to the bottom hem.
  • Shoulder: measure from one shoulder seam to the other across the back.
  • Sleeve: measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve.

Measuring the body instead? Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the chest under the arms, keep it level and snug but not tight, and allow some extra room, since aloha shirts are meant to hang loosely.

Choosing between two sizes

  • For a looser, beach-ready fit, choose the larger size.
  • If you plan to tuck the shirt in or wear it under a jacket, the smaller size may work better.
  • For growing kids, sizing up lets the shirt be worn for longer.

Fabric and care

Our shirts are made of polyester. To keep the print and fit looking their best, wash inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle, skip bleach, and hang to dry or tumble dry on low.

If the size is wrong

Non-personalized shirts that are unworn and unwashed can be exchanged or returned within 30 days of delivery under our Return & Refund Policy. Personalized shirts are made for one person and cannot be exchanged for a different size unless we sent a size other than the one you ordered.
